Tonight we asked Ezra what he wanted to be when he grew up and he said, "A guy who fixes TVs."

Gig tomorrow up in Cambridge!

Yes, I am back on LJ, at least for the time being!

How have you been?

The gig last night at Obb's was quite fun.  It was a long one -- four hours -- but I think overall it was very successful.  (Well, except for the guy who asked Bret in the men's room if "the band was still outside, sucking.")

We did lots of covers, which is fun, but I do miss the days we were largely an "originals" band.  I used to be able to do a song every couple of weeks, but I really haven't been able to put much together since Ezra was born.  Whatever part of my brain that used to be used for songwriting is now apparently being used for keeping track of my children.  Although I was able to pull of an impromptu "anniversary song" at the gig last night, so maybe there is some hope.  Either way, I had a really good time, even though four hours is a REALLY long time to play, and the tips of my fingers are seriously swollen.

I really need to get back in the LJ habit.  Or at least something like it.  Facebook doesn't quite cut it for me -- although I'm finding that I'm much more a facebook person than a twitter person.  Go figure.

I am on Death's door.  I have croup.  Seriously.  I got it from Zoe.  I had to skip prom and mother's day was hard.

I got a sub for tomorrow and my plan is to be in bed all day.  I may leave to pick up some soup to burn my insides.

This is all.

My wife is super awesome.

Special thanks to my mom and dad for watching the kiddos last night.
